About Jill

The woman behind the edit.

She believes good taste has nothing to do with a big budget. It has to do with paying attention. Knowing what's worth twelve dollars and what's worth six hundred, and never confusing the two.

And she is entirely in favor of the splurge. We work hard for this money. The occasional beautiful, unreasonable, absolutely worth-it thing is the whole point — provided it earns the label. The rest of the time, she finds the dupe.

Fourteen years ago, after a proper career and a proper résumé, she did the unadvisable thing: she built her own path. Several of them, actually. Still following her own dreams — stubbornly, cheerfully, occasionally at 2 a.m. — and cheering on every other woman doing the same.

How I edit

I become a little obsessed with finding the best — not necessarily the most expensive. Sometimes that's the luxury version that's worth every penny. Other times it's the affordable alternative that performs just as well (or better).

The Jill Edit is where I share the products that survived my research rabbit holes and earned my approval. These are the beauty, wellness, home, travel, fashion and everyday finds I'd normally text to my closest friends.

Consider it your shortcut to buying well — without spending countless hours researching every purchase yourself.

Because sharing is caring — and everyone loves a good edit.

I'm painfully picky. I read every review, compare five versions of the same thing, return more than I keep, and only recommend after a product has really earned it. The Jill Edit is the very short list that made it past me.

No sponsored fluff. No 40-item hauls. If it's here, it beat out a dozen others I quietly sent back.

My mission

Great taste, sensible money, zero guesswork.

She reads every review, hunts the dupe, compares the price three times, and says no to nearly all of it. What survives is either a genuine bargain or a splurge that has earned every dollar — nothing in the mushy middle. Earned, never bought, no matter who's asking.

My cause

Animal rescue — and one day, wide open acreage.

The dream, stated plainly: an open-acreage animal sanctuary. Fence line disappearing into the tree line. Old dogs on porches. Horses who have finally been left alone. Somewhere for the ones nobody came back for. Every recommendation here, every small brand featured, every Sunday Edit sent, moves the needle a little closer to buying that land — or funding someone braver who already has.
